I write to make the parts of football that usually go unnoticed easier to see and understand. I’ve come up with a way in which I can publish more frequently, daily. Here is how.

I’ve always loved Daring Fireball by John Gruber. It is a linkblog about technology and Apple. I’ve been reading it since the mid-2000s.

What John does on Daring Fireball is simple. He offers his opinions but he also highlights new relevant news and he adds commentary onto that news.

I want to do that for football, to highlight new ideas and quotes from coaches for coaches.

You’ll see what I mean in the coming days. I know you’ll love it because you tend to like what I like.

I read a lot during the day. You have to be informed to form an accurate opinion. You’ll miss pieces of information you could apply to your own ideas and work if you are not taking everything in.

If you don’t have time to take everything in, I can do it for you. That is one of the goals I had with research when I started posting daily research, to “Know first.”

I will read the news, read what others are saying, surface new ideas, montior all of the press conferences, interviews, and podcasts to keep you informed and to share my opinion.

I will be posting throughout the day. If you subscribe to receive posts by email, rather than sending each post individually, I will be delivering everything in the form of a recap.

The email will go out every morning and it is incredible. It will include my posts from the day prior, upcoming match times, results, and news from teams I am following that I think are tactically interesting, daily trivia and polls, boards shared by you from board.tacticsjournal.com, and recommended reading from my personal feed.

I will be a reader of my own newsletter, it is that useful. I’ve made a few trial runs over the past few days, and it is a great way to start the day to stay informed.
